Live Independently with the Warm, Reliable Support of a Dedicated In-Home Team

Tailored NDIS-funded daily supports that empower you to live safely and autonomously in your own home or a friendly shared living environment.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support designed to help you live as independently as possible. It provides assistance with daily living tasks inside your home, helping you build practical skills so you can manage your life with confidence. SIL is typically delivered in a shared living arrangement with other participants or in your own private home, focusing on guiding you through tasks rather than simply doing them for you.

If you are an NDIS participant looking to transition out of the family home, move into independent housing, or require consistent daily assistance to keep your household running smoothly, SIL is the perfect framework. Managing a home alone can be overwhelming. As highly respected SIL providers, we provide customized care options to make sure you enjoy stable, safe, and comfortable SIL accommodation arrangements while developing lifelong skills.

Why Choose NDHS for SIL?

  • Strict Support Worker Matching: We do not believe in rotating random staff. We assign a dedicated, consistent team of workers matched directly to your personality, cultural background, and communication styles.
  • Ongoing Clinical Support: Our management team includes trained clinical coordinators, meaning your health progress is monitored and documented professionally.
  • Respect for Choice & Control: Your home is your sanctuary. You decide who enters, how your room is styled, and what your daily schedule looks like.

Eligibility Requirements for SIL

To access SIL, your NDIS plan must contain funding under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life (Supported Independent Living). Typically, a formal Allied Health assessment (such as a Functional Capacity Assessment) is required to show the NDIA that you need 24/7 or high-intensity daily physical support.

SIL Process Steps

  1. 1. Profile & Compatibility Mapping: We analyze your functional assessments, lifestyle habits, and social goals.
  2. 2. Roster of Care (RoC) Design: We draft a detailed hours-and-tasks profile to submit to the NDIA.
  3. 3. Team Matching & Transition: We introduce you to compatible flatmates and workers.
